My mission is to help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera so we get beautiful, genuine images that highlight who you truly are. I’ll talk you through poses and give you plenty of instruction. We’ll walk around the location looking for beautiful light and picturesque backgrounds, and you’ll get a mix of wide-view shots, close-ups, and traditional portraits.

You can expect to receive your photos through an online gallery within about two weeks of your portrait session. Along with your images, I’ll send over details on how to preserve them through prints and albums.
I truly hope our relationship doesn’t end once your photos are delivered. I’d love to hear about how you display and enjoy your portraits, and if you ever want to capture more milestones, I’d be honored to document your growing family or future memories.

Engagement sessions are one of my favorite parts of the photography journey with couples. It’s a relaxed, playful time where we get to know each other without the pressure of a tight timeline. I approach these sessions with the goal of creating a comfortable space for you to connect, laugh, and just be yourselves.
Instead of stiff posing, I guide you through gentle prompts that bring out natural emotion and movement. I’ll offer direction when needed, but I always focus on capturing the genuine chemistry between you. I’m a big believer that images aren’t meant to live only in a digital space. One day, Instagram will be gone, your phone will be replaced, and the photos you can physically hold in your hands will be the ones that truly last—the best way to remember the precious moments we captured together.
Think about this: fifteen years ago, if I had delivered your images digitally, they would’ve been on a floppy disk. With how quickly technology evolves, there would be no way to access those files today. Even the online galleries I deliver won’t be around forever.
That’s why I always encourage my clients to invest in an album. These high-quality, professionally designed albums come in a variety of linen and leather options. They’re not like the bulky albums your parents had—they’re modern, lay completely flat, and look stunning on a coffee table. It’s one of the most meaningful ways to make your memories tangible and lasting.

After I deliver your gallery, I’ll work with you to order prints and design an album that will become a cherished heirloom for your family.
Albums must be prepaid before the design process begins and typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete, including any revisions.
With the exception of printing errors, all albums are non-returnable. You’re welcome to order an album anytime—before or after the wedding day. If you’re hoping to receive it in time for the holidays, please note that the deadline to begin an order is November 1st.

When will we receive our photos?
Within 2 weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors.
When do you charge travel fees?
I typically add travel fees on to any session outside of a 30 mile radius from my home in Washington DC. Fees vary depending on location so ask for more details.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
Portrait galleries typically include 100-150 photos, while event photography include 150 photos per hour of coverage. Your online gallery will be loaded with fully edited, high-resolution images you can print anywhere. While you’re not required to credit me when sharing your photos, I'd be thrilled if you did!
We love your work and want to book. What's the next step?
Fantastic! To reserve your portrait session, I’ll need a completed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and I’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due on the day of the session.
